Dearest Reader,
On this closing day of April, as we move deeper into the season of awakening, through the final stages of rousing from our torpor, I’d like to share four haikus for spring I wrote during the course of this transitional month. In tandem with the Vernal Equinox I pushed myself from the chrysalis that held me in its warm embrace for the duration of winter, but I did not rush to take flight. I held on, just as the Monarch does, patiently allowing my wings to expand and dry out, stretching myself towards the sun, little by little, in perfect time.
